Seminar Report – 7th JIGH seminar ‘What is going on in Japan and around the world? Grasp the trends of global health’
On April, 22nd 2016, JIGH hosted the 7th JIGH study session, ‘What is going on in Japan and around the world? Grasp the trends of global health’ ~ Gather viewpoints from policy makers to patients in Nihonbashi ~, at the Nihonbashi Life Science HUB.
At the seminar, panelists from various standpoints discussed the issues that are present in Japan’s healthcare, ongoing movements in medical practices and private healthcare-related industries as a result of such issues, and how such issues are perceived by patients.
Through this seminar, it was shown how people could empathize with others regardless of their difference in standpoint. In addition, the seminar emphasized the amount of potential participants have in changing the structure of the society including healthcare.
JIGH plans to host spin-off seminars for further discussion on the topics that were brought up during this seminar, such as the visualization of healthcare, and the quality of medicine.
